@ UPTOWN NORMAL
R MarketPlace is the first food hall being opened in Bloomington/Normal Community. Although food hall is a new concept for the city, it is not foreign to bigger city like Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, etc. The Food Hall industry is considered a modern food court with unique food offerings that focuses on modern, pleasing design, artisanal and authentic brands.
R MarketPlace will comprise with unique, high quality selections of artisan and ethnic food, local produce, and products offered by local independent merchants. Independent merchants can choose the amount of space they needed for their products ranging from 100 to 1200 square feet depending on their needs.
The excitement of bringing high-quality food options as well as a place for people to congregate and socialize in Bloomington/Normal is really the driving force of the project. This is an opportunity to not only create a place for people to hang out but also to foster start up and local small businesses in the community.
The overall company vision is to create a place for people to congregate and socialize in the community that provokes, entertains, and engages all those who visit the Marketplace. Our mission is to inspire and foster entrepreneurship and support local farmers. Everything that we do will tie back to a social cause to enrich the community that we live in.

R MarketPlace is about 13,000 square feet and can accommodate between 10 to 15 independent merchants. Each merchant can choose the amount of space they needed for their products ranging from 100 to 1200 square feet depending on your needs. Since the marketplace will be providing a ‘common’ area for patrons to congregate, the independent merchant will not be required or have the need to provide and build out space for their consumers to consume their products.
R MarketPlace is scheduled to open in spring/summer of 2020 along with the completion of the Trail East Project in Uptown Normal.
